Rural and small libraries have an exciting opportunity to secure funding and professional support for local projects in 2026. Penguin Random House, in partnership with United for Libraries, has announced a new grant program designed to strengthen library services and the Friends groups that advocate for them.

The program will award $25,000 in total funding, including $500 and $1,000 cash grants for priority needs, along with 20 in-kind book donation grants to help libraries purchase Penguin Random House titles.

In addition to funding, grant recipients will receive complimentary eLearning, access to monthly webinars, and free registration for United for Libraries virtual events, providing long-term value beyond the grant period.

Applications must be submitted by January 21, 2026.
